Radiation Boy
He spent his days at school, he never broke the rules,
He was nicer than me, Radiadiation Boy
His friends were always true, though he had just a few,
He lived so peacefully, quietly and happily
He Lived across that hill, where life is always still,
Not far from you and me, rather close to you and me
Near his house was a place, where they put toxic waste
A barrel starts to leak, Radiadiation Boy
Ray-ay-ay-ay-adiation Boy
You can’t remember your name and your eyes can hardly see
The get well soon card from PG&E
Ray-ay-ay-ay-adiation Boy
Oh did you read the paper this morning dear? (what!?)
Shocking news about that nice boy from just down the street
It seems that late last night, just before light,
He had some fun with bombs down at the corporate buildings
They say his eyes were bleeding, his hair was falling out,
He screamed this could be you but they took him to the cutting room
As they hauled him away, he screamed out to his friends,
It’s in the air that we breathe in every single day
Ray-ay-ay-ay-adiation Boy
You can’t remember your name and your eyes can hardly see
The get well soon card from PG&E
Ray-ay-ay-ay-adiation Boy
And now it’s ten years later, and I hear people say,
It’s sad I know but they say he was a masturbator
He had warts on his hands, and swollen glands,
And he made wretched sounds at decent people as they passed
It’s funny how people tend to twist history,
to justify injustices of past times,
You’d better cross your fingers, then try to get it up,
Cos in this world today, we’re all radiation boys
Ray-ay-ay-ay-adiation Boy
You can’t remember your name and your eyes can hardly see
The get well soon card from PG&E
Cos your a Ray-ay-ay-ay-adiation Boy
